While NSW residents are struggling with cost of living pressures including electricity and gas bills, tolls and rent, the Berejiklian government stubbornly refuses to budge!
Even the Morrison government has backed NSW Labor’s push to ensure power retailers set their prices against a regulated default market price. Labor has a plan to bring power costs down by re-regulating electricity prices. Everyone thinks it’s a good idea – the Australian Energy Regulator, the ACCC, farming , welfare and other consumer groups, even the Morrison government agrees.
But… the Berejikilan government is stubbornly refusing to look at default prices. For eight years, they have had only one energy policy : to increase electricity prices through privatisation and deregulation.
